Metars 
During a heavy thunderstorm with torrential rain and loud thunder, my iFlyGPS tablet showed nothing! I checked local airfields for their weather and at each got "No Metars in the vicinity" And it is still the same today. Does that mean that the Metar system is Tango Uniform?

Do you get metar data on any other field?
Go to map mode/metars, hit the gear icon,and then update via the internet.

No gear icon in map mode. that is under menu. Hit that and no mention of metars.
