thanks for the WX geek details :) . I don't mean to oversimplify things. but the picture i posted from iFLY shows clear of rain or any other precip in the areas where there was snow and sleet coming down at a good rate. The internal iFLY weather brain decided that those were the areas without any precipitation which I thoought was not correct.
I was not planning on dodging sleet and snow in a C172, so it's just a casual observation :)
