Zoom out on Direct To

Is there a way to prevent iFly from Zooming out when you enter a Direct To route? I want it to keep the zoom I have set. I usually find the destination on the map, tap it, and choose Fly Direct to. The map zooms out to show the entire route (and then some) and I have to zoom back in each time.

I don't think so. I think the logic is so you can see the entire route to the "direct to" airport to make sure it is a flyable route. You wouldn't want to start flying directly to a destination only to find out later your route is through restricted airspace, for instance.

While I tend to agree with the behavior and justification given by Tim, it also seems to me there should be a simple/one touch way to return to the previous zoom level.
