I purchased a T-Power PS a while back from IFly and more recently a Stratux ADSB, alas each has his own power cord, so the question is "Can you provide a 12 volts to MINI cord, to power the Stratux from my T-Power PS?

Thank you

The Stratux takes about 2 amps at 5 volts so your T-PS would have to have at least that output plus whatever else you are using the T-PS for.

It would require a Buck converter to change the 12v into 5v ($5 @ Amazon, plus connectors and splicing and soldering and placing the results in a small project box, another $10-$20).   The excess voltage is converted to heat plus the actual power drain it takes to do the conversion, so it wouldn't be the ideal solution (or even a good one) in terms of power consumption especially if you're also powering the iFly with it at 12v.  I'd suggest keeping the Stratux on a different power source.  If you're set on doing it and enjoy DIY projects, you can break open an existing 12v cigarette lighter plug/USB power supply and modify the internals to achieve what you want (12v --> 5v USB).

How about using a 5volt output cell phone cigarette charger?

The T-Power he's referring to is a 12v cigarette-pack-sized portable power supply that can be used to power the iFly line of dedicated EFB hardware.  The older ones use a USB connection on the T-Power, which can be detrimental to electronics if someone accidently plugs in a 5v device (I.E. cell phone) into the T-Power's USB connection.  T-Power later switched to a more reasonable version with a barrel plug that can't be mistaken for a 5v power pack.  N5380L is wanting to use a 12v T-Power PS to power his 5v Stratux.
