That is a Stratux, quite a different device from the Stratus. Regardless, if it's connecting to your tablet, you should be able to connect with the iFly GPS app.

Tom,

I believe you have a Stratux RXWX. Are you able to see the Stratux wifi on another device, like your Mac? If so, reset the iPad's network settings via Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings, and then see if you can connect to the Stratux again. (Note: this will reset all your cellular and VPN settings back to default and wipe out all the saved wifi networks and passwords)

If it's not isolated to the iPad, the next step would be to reflash your existing Stratux microSD card or wait for that new card that's in the mail. I tried to download the file from Github earlier myself and had the same issue with diminishing download speeds, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

Let us know what you figure out.

Thanks,

-Shaun

My Stratux is no longer recognized by my iFly 740B. It worked perfectly for about a year until it didn't. Now the red light comes on but will not turn green. Also, the fan does not come on. I ordered and recieved the new microchip from Adventure Pilot but that did nothing to help. I have checked for loose connections, but I am not an expert. Any ideas? Perhaps the micro SD card in the Stratux got corrupted and needs the OS reflashed?

What Stratux software version are you running?  If you're not sure, describe how and when you acquired your Stratux and its software, which will give a clue.  Since you mention getting a replacement SD card from AP, does that mean you bought your Stratux from them?  (LED behaviors have changed their meanings over time.  BTW, there are actually two separate LEDs, one red and one green.)

How do you power your Stratux?  Insufficient power can lead to the result you are seeing.  If you have changed from a battery to a cigarette lighter adapter, for instance, or changed from one cigarette lighter adapter to another, that could cause this result.  (Not all cigarette lighter adapters are created equal.  You need one that can provide as much power as possible.  Look for 2.4A capability or more.)

Another possibilitiy is software corruption, but if you've replaced the SD card, that would be unlikely.

I'm suspecting a power-related issue.
