Check Dallas Avionics and found that Navworx has gone belly up.

HERE is what you get when you go to their page....how tragic...and costly for many who bought into this during the last couple of years...now owners will have to have it taken out and ANOTHER system installed - essentially doubling the price of ADSB out for them...

"The ADS600-B Gen 2.0 product utilizes a GPS module from a third-party vendor. Although the vendor represented their GPS module met 14 CFR 91.227, the FAA recently determined the GPS module does not meet 14 CFR 91.227.

We are unable to sell the ADS600-B, or provide AD updates, for either certified or experimental aircraft.

Therefore, we are not currently conducting any business and have ceased operations.

We will provide updates if they become available."

Mine will  be used as a boat anchor.

Looking for a new one.

Doubt if a class action suit would accomplish anything productive.

Time to move on...

You wouldn't win a class action suit. And if you did, I'm sure they have no money to pay anyone. Stuff happens.

John,

Very sorry to hear about this and agree with your assessment on future actions. a class-action is probaly a lengthy waste of time.

it will be astonishing if they did come back online...

A friend of mine who did buy one told me more about what happened....I am getting this from him, so I don't know the primary source.

The FAA would not certify the GPS chip. The FAA was willing to work with them and wanted to see thier production line. Rather than open the doors to inspectors, they preferred to close down.

Many perspectives on this. On one hand, it is a private business and they have a right to do so. On the other, they are leaving a LOT of folks in the lurch after they invested in the Navworx product. Very disappointing.

John, what do you think you will go with now? I am leaning toward the wing-light adsb out that is going to be approved in Feb 18 (for certified aircraft). Available NOW for experimentals right here. Anyway, I do feel bad for you and hope the NEXT one you buy has better backing. Best wishes.

Regards, Mike
