Jeff:

I tried again today to see adsb towers, but even though I had the option turned on in the NEXRAD menu I could not see any of the three towers that were talking to my system.

2nd: Why is is tied to NEXRAD. I wpould thing it would be part of the OBSTACLES menu since it is yet another tower to watch out for when low.

I do know wht to look for because I use dto be able to see the adsb towers.

I'm sure it would show up as an obstacle also.  As far as why it is under Nexrad, who knows, but they had to put is somewhere.  If you are looking for them, it would not be in the context of looking for obstacles.

I'm just a user like you, and those are good questions for AP to answer.  I agree that there's got to be a better place to put the option, and I'd like to see the option visible even if I'm not connected to an ADS-B box.  I flew last weekend with the latest version on Android and the 740 and saw the towers depicted, so I can't say why they're not showing up for you.  Where do you think a more logical place to put the tower option would be?  I'm thinking maybe within the METAR/TAF options.

As for it being on the Obstacles menu, they are mainly piggybacked onto existing cell phone towers etc., so they are often below the threshhold for depicting towers, and the ones that are tall enough are *already* depicted as obstacles.

I would think it would be in Setup>ADS/B  Then add one or more options to Show/Not Show the location of antennas, perhaps the color/intensity to be used, differing colors for antennas that the receiver is communicating with, or any other features deemed desirable or necessary.
