My D180 will show cross wind components without  anything  "connected " to it.   That has always been there even before the ifly 700 and later the 720.  I do wish that the D180 had a  better ( more up to date communication buss ) that would allow some of that.  To my understanding about all that can com with the D180 is a  D10A and or the engine instrument dynon product of that same vintage.  I wish that the SV was an easier  upgrade to the  D180  but  thats not going to happen either.  Someone needs to build a hub  where all instruments would  terminate to that hub and a   multiconnector cable  would  go to the   EFIS of your choice!   How bout it Adventure pilot?
