Would you add this new section, please? I've a million questions. :)

Like, it is a Mode S transponder output, extended squitter (ES?) (If I'm using the terminology correctly.) How does it keep from conflicting with a Mode C xponder already in the panel?

The unit that is $150 less is an OUT only? For the $1350 we get IN and OUT? If so, how does the IN compare to a stratux???

Can we use external antennas if we install them?

And more. :) :)

Thanks,

David

The SkyguardTWX is just one of many ADSB devices that iFly is compatible with. It is manufactured by a different company. Questions about pricing, how it works, and how to install it are better directed toward the manufacturer.

I have a SkyGuardTWX transceiver ads-b in/out. Mine is a portable and not 2020 compliant. I've also built and sold several Stratux ads-b in devices on Ebay. As far as the ads-b in, the Stratux is as good as the SkyGuard IMHO.

One assumes there are capabilities and functionalities in iFly that are specific to this piece of hardware, the skyguardwx. Like the questions I already posed. That pricing is definitely an Advendure issue, for example.

You can click on SHOP above and see the ADS-B devices Adventure Pilot sells. As far as functionality with iFly GPS, they are all the same. You connect via WIFI to the device and receive NEXRAD, Metars, TAF's, TFR's, wind, pilot reports, and some traffic. With ADS-B out, you will see all the traffic and with only ADS-B in, you will only see some of the traffic.

There is really no reason for AP to add another section to the forum. If you have questions as they relate to ADS-B and iFly GPS, ask them here. If they are specific to the ADS-B device, you probably should go to their forums. For instance Don has a forum for his SkyGuardTWX.
