I am using Stratux IN on my aircraft. When the ADS-B is active and I try to get wind barbs from the MAP MODE like without ADS-B it says, "Not available when using ASD-B." So I assume that instead IFLY GPS will give ADS-B weather info on some other map mode I don't know about..

When I try to get ADS-B weather I can see weather info on the Stratux info page, however the information is constantly changeing and jumping up and down on my tablet as weather inputs pop up.

So how to I view weather on my tablet? I can see traffic, but no weather info.

When getting a weather update via an internet connection, iFly includes some weather products from third-party sources such as the hi-def winds aloft. When airborne, these same products aren't available via ADS-B. So if you didn't get an internet update before departure, there's nothing to show. The Winds and Temps Aloft data in the ADS-B stream is the same text data you get from the FAA, and can be found by tapping an airport, tapping the "weather" tab, tapping "more info", then tapping "winds". Not all airports have FAA winds and temps aloft data.

The Hi-Res Winds Mode is gathering special high resolution wind data only available on the internet. This is why you are seen this message. However we are looking at a change in the future.

I have proposed to revised Winds Aloft Mode, and have a qualifier (Hi-Res) or (ADS-B). For the Hi-Res, you'll see what you see now if connected to the internet, then when on ADS-B, we would only show the much more limited report stations with a Altitude Slider or option for an altitude setting, as there is no time forecast for ADS-B winds. This would give the Winds Aloft Map Mode more consistency and functionality for both Internet and ADS-B usage.

Note: With only ADS-B Winds, there would likely me some limitation for the Altitude Planning feature since wind data would be very sparsely located and less accurate for cross country optimizing.
