I just picked up my 740 and although I have not been able to fly with it yet, it looks like it's going to be perfect for me! The problem that I have is with the Opera mini browser that comes installed. When I try to visit any EAA sponsored chapter website, it gives the "404 NOT FOUND" error, which seems to be a known issue with Opera mini (probably because these addresses have an extra "." in them, ie:"http://www.96.eaachapter.org/"). My question is, is it possible to change to another browser like Firefox? I didn't find any way to change or add applications.

Hi David,

Unfortunately we don't have another browser that works on our device. But I think something else is going on here, there isn't anything wrong with the URL. Either the Opera service is failing (this browser uses a proxy server), or DNS is messed up somewhere in the pipe, or the EAA site is rejecting the request for some reason. Unless we have a large enough issue to take this to Opera for debugging, this can be difficult to diagnose. But I'm documenting it, will let you know if/when we have a new version or a fix.

Thanks,
Walter

Thanks Walter, this is not really a giant issue as the browser was a bonus that I didn't expect when I bought the 740. I did try Opera Mini on my Android phone and it has the same problem so I don't think it has anything to do with the 740.

Dave
