Will be upgrading my panel to pretty much all glass in the following weeks, but would like to keep my 720. Will have a single Garmin GTN650 with a GNC255 NavCom., along with Aspen 2000 and AI CGR-30. Am considering installing an AirGizmo mount for my 720 but not sure if it will require an external antenna. Anyone mount one of these and willing to provide advice? Airplane is a Cherokee180C

I also fly a Cherokee with a panel mount 720. Once it is was installed under the glareshield, my signal was weak to the point of occasionally losing it. After installing an external GPS antenna from AP, my signal is always locked on to WAAS reception. It just sits on top of the glareshield located all the way up against the windshield, right next to my XM antenna. Totally out of the way, and very effective. Highly recommended.

I have a 720 in an AirGizmo mount in my experimental. Works and looks good but it does require an external antenna.

Appreciate the responses, ordered the external antenna yesterday. Will post pictures when it is all installed.
