I just installed the Navworx ADS600 in my experimental aircraft. I can get Garmin TIS traffic working and can send weather and traffic to ipad. But.... I can't get the Ifly 720 to receive the weather and traffic data. I used the pinouts located here in the forum. I did buy the Ifly 720 usb to serial connector but is there another cable that may have gotten sent to me incorrectly? Or what else should I check. I think the cable said someting like 232-1MB

Thanks

Dave

All is OK now. With the advice of the ifly staff I was able to get it working. ADS600 Unit recieves the weather and traffic.

Be sure to let us know how well it works and what it cost to install.

Navworx install was straight forward. i installed myself on my experimental/amatuer built aircraft.Works great now that I have all the parts working. I have a 396 hard wired for traffic. The iFly 720 is hard wired for traffic and weather. I transmit a wifi signal which an ipad can use for traffic and weather. All this at the same time. It required installing a UAT antenna on the underside, which looks like transponder antenna. When all was said and done I spent about $2800 on the install.

Why did I do this rather than just buy the less expensive passive weather and traffic receivers? It really boils down to the traffic information. Traffic information requires some one to ask for it. This unit asks for the traffic info. The cheaper units don't ask, they depend on another airplane nearby asking for the traffic to receive the traffic too. Weather is broadcast all the time no matter what. I have had a couple close calls and wanted the traffic all the time.
