Shane,

I've said it before and I'll say it again; this is what sets AP apart from every other GPS manufacturer out there. You guys are cutting edge and always responsive to your customers. I'll be using your products until you close it down or until I stop flying, neither of which I hope comes any time soon. Great work guys!!!!

Sam

Hi Rich,

No, the internal antenna will pick up a WAAS signal, however your WAAS consistency and GPS acquisition speed will improve if you use the Ext. Antenna option as it's an amplified antenna. However it is not required for a WAAS lock. If you want to make sure you have a WAAS lock as much as possible, I'd recommend the Ext. Antenna available HERE as a best practice. Hope this helps.

Sam,

Thanks for your kind comments. We have no intentions of going anywhere but UP. With customers like yourself in the air telling fellow pilots about the iFly and your experiences, we will be around for a long time and should be able to keep our prices the most affordable on the market. Thanks again for your continued business and support. It's Flying Season!!!

OK, just responded to the thread about false altitude alerts on the other form page. I do like the fact that the iFly worked well without the external antenna and additional wire needed, unlike my old Airmap. But with more features like the altitude alert and this that may require the extra precision of given by the external antenna I guess I will need to consider it. To bad there is not a wireless external antenna option. Hey, a Feature Request!
