If you don't like the velcro option, Shane has a good idea with the retractable keychain. Here at work we have badge-triggered door locks, and the badge around my neck is on a retractable thingy so I don't have to stoop toward the reader each time I open a door. It'd work great for your purposes. I wouldn't attach it to the iFly tho, because with my luck it'd slip from my hand and crack the screen.
