I use Firefox, and it stores user IDs and passwords for most sites. However, some sites (including ifly.adventurepilot.com) have a login page that Firefox doesn't recognize as such, so it doesn't offer to store the information. I'd appreciate it if the login page allowed Firefox to store my user ID and password.

I use Google Chrome and it does not save my login information for the iFly AP web site either. Neither does MS Internet Explorer for that matter, no matter what I do to try to add it to the auto file. Just gave up trying and type it in each time. ===Ralph

I just logged on my Linux box. After logging in (first time I used Linux on iFly), I logged out of Linux, then restarted Linux, opened Firefox and checked for updates, iFly recognised me, I didn't have to log in.

You're right though. Linux uses preferences. I forgot to to say before, under windoze before Options, to click on Tools.

Do you have 'remember passwords for sites' checked under the Security tab? Possibly under the 'Privacy' tab you might have 'Tell web sites I do not want to be tracke'? I don't have it check, might be worth a check.

Interesting that it works for you. What version of Firefox are you running? I have 13.0.

Of course I have "Remember passwords for sites" checked; that's why it remembers most of my passwords. I also have "Tell websites I do not want to be tracked" checked. However, I just tried entering an ID and password at 2 sites where I don't have an account, and in both cases it offered to remember the password, so that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I just upgraded to V13 for Firefox, it works also.

I'm also using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS if that make a difference.
