I use the fixed range rings to see approx how far away I am from something. No interaction with the screen necessary. (And one of these days, Brian is going to make the label positions adaptive, so that they're not cut off at the top when youlre in portrait mode, heading south, where ownship is skewed north.)

I think he's just saying that in some screen orientations, the distance label on the ring gets obscured or lands off the screen where you can't read it, and Brian's eventually going to fix that.

Yep, Cobra got it. A lot of times the Distance labels for the Range Rings are hidden. (Mostly when you're heading south in portrait mode.) Brian says it's on his list to move them to 90, 180, 270 as needed.
