This has been requested before. I'll request it again. (Or offer an alternative.) Despite the neat Visual METAR feature n iFly, it doesn't help as much here in the desert SW, where airports are few and far between, and a lot of those few aren't plugged in to the FAA's weather system. So when you're on a long XC, it's often impossible to know about cloud cover. I know that a Satellite image can't be done in real time (in flight) thru ADS-B yet . But 1) could there be a way for iFly to download the latest aviationweather.gov Satellite IR image and overlay it (for a certain zoom) on the map? 2) I know that the FCC says that we're not supposed to use our cell phones in flight. Nevertheless, for those who have Internet connectivity in flight (let's say satphones), is there a way that we could upload the aviationweather.gov image from our phones to iFly so that iFly c an overlay the image it the map. (Again, at a zoom level that fits the satellite picture.) I suppose this would be easier to implement for those who have Internet connected tablets,
