Would it be possible for the traffic radar box to be reduced in size to the dimensions of the smallest box, then open up to standard size when touching it? This is how I have my terrain box set up.

With the IFLY in the landscape orientation, the traffic radar takes up alot of space.

Another suggestion would be to keep it hidden until detected traffic has broken a user selected distance - similiar to what the artificial horizon will do when you exceed pitch and roll limits.

Thanks!

I think having it pop up when traffic enters the box is a great idea.

iFly doesn't seem to like things that pop up (except for alerts), but I like this idea too. (User selectable, of course.) For now I have two Instrument Layouts and when there's Traffic on the Radar, I try to toggle to my layout that is set to show the largest size of the Radar Instrument. (Then, of course, I have to toggle back to normal.)

What smoke is referring to on the AI is that if you have an external device with an AI (such as some ADS-B's), you can set iFly to pop the big attitude indicator onscreen if you exceed user-settable bank or pitch angles. Something similar with the traffic box would de-clutter some screen real estate until it is needed. I vote YEA.

This would probably be a good idea if you have a way to know for sure the radar feature is in fact turned on. I also have no problem with it the way it is. I put it in the lower right corner next to the + and- signs and it doesn't get in the way for me.
