Satellite Status Page

Every GPS I have owned has a Sat Status page showing satellites being received and signal strengths, why not this one?

You mean why don't we show signal strength for individual satellites? I guess because it just didn't seem necessary to me. I've tried to employ the keep-it-simple approach all over the app, and a visual representation of the satellites found, plus a summarized lock-quality, seemed sufficient. Do you think we need more?

Is there a reason why we would want, or need, to know the strength of the satellites? Are there certain strength values below which we shouldn't be using or relying on the GPS? Or is having strength meters just a neat "gee-whiz" thing that gadget freaks like us like to look at? Kind of like a tachometer in an automatic transmission car?

It's a warm fuzzy. Even a tach on an automatic tells you when you're not locked up (slip mode) usually below 45 mph, shouldn't happen at 70.

Something to look at after a GPS warning message/flag.

It is more important with a unit that has a built in GPS, it helps in positioning the GPS in the cockpit to maximize reception.
