Thanks for the reply and I look forward to the seamless hi-res maps but even more, I look forward to being able to upload a flight plan from my iPad to the 720! That will be nice.

FWIW, in the air, my 720 doesn't change sectionals until I am right at the border of the next sectional. I'm not a fan of surprises so except for once, just to see when the new map would show up, I always switch maps earlier than the iFly. Perhaps its just my imaginate but I really don't want to see the new map and find I'm less than a mile from a TFR, restricted, or even controlled airspace.

I second Don's requests/concerns. Perhaps the sectional can switch to the new one as soon as the over-lap of the next one is in range, until we can get seamless sectionals (the holy grail)?

Don,

Yep, I proposed this, switching to the new chart as soon as we detect the overlay, to Brian and Walter. I think it's already taken care of for the next major V8 iFly software release. Seamless charts won't be far behind.
