Ben: If I understand your question, the answer is a qualified "Yes", provided you are running version 7.0.16 or later. As you are flying, bring up the flight plan page and simply hit the "Direct To" button for the waypoint you want to head directly to. What it will do is make the current aircraft position a "waypoint" and give you direct navigation to the point you selected. Now then, it does remove all the intermediate waypoints between your present position and the waypoint you jumped to, but it retains the subsequent follow-on waypoints in your flight plan. If you decide later that you need all those intermediate waypoints that were deleted when you performed the "Direct To", you can always re-load the flight plan (assuming you DID save it).
That said, I think there currently is a bug in the displaying of the "Direct To" buttons in the flight plan only on the initial flight plan load, but not on subsequent flight plans, unless Navigation is restarted. I've reported this in its own thread, so I am certain they will fix it in time. ===Ralph
