At the risk of starting a flame war...

I went back and re-read this thread.  The first time thru, I wholly agreed with Walter & Brian.  But upon second reading, Tim was right in that Mazda was being very insulting with his comment "It's kind of startling to think that some of you guys actually pilot aircraft...", which IMHO is really ballsy for a new (infrequent?) poster to throw out.  Tim shouldn't have called Mazda a name, but I think he was right to call out Mazda's insulting post.  Mazda was no doubt frustrated that his OP was being misconstrued, but that doesn't excuse what he said.  

Granted, Tim was being overly protective of how-things-are, as I feel he does a lot.  But then, as pointed out, he's a Beta tester and a long time user.  Way longer than me, and maybe most of us on the forum.

It spiralled from there.  But I think Mazda was at fault for insulting people who were trying to understand his OP, some of whom were just mistaken on his intent.  He could've clarified the topic without the insult.

My two cents.  I should've probably kept it to myself, but I think we all missed a big contributing factor here.  Anyway, let's just be civil.

I've got tons of little ideas borne out of an obsessive love for this app and constant tinkering during my regular cross-country flights. I'll post them as I feel they mature to a level of usefulness.

You asked the same question multiple times.  Each time I answered with more detail, hoping you would try it.  The last time you asked the same question I gave even more details, figuring you wouldn't try it but hoping it would help someone else with the same issue.  If giving the same answer to the same question over and over insinuates someone is "stupid" or "lazy"... I dont even know how to address that.  If you kept following the thread, then you know it helped at least one other person.  I didn't have a working knowledge of  Pi's or Linux before assembling a Stratux and I taught myself, so I know it can be done by anybody with a desire to try.  About the time you stopped asking, I was reminded (in one of the other forums I suggested you try) that tapping repeatedly (8-10 times) on the Version Number in the Stratux webpage will bring forward an additional tab in the dropdown menu called "Developer".  This tab has an option within it to delete all the Stratux log files.  It's not foolproof because the Linux system also creates system logs that slowly build over time, but at least you can now easily delete the Stratux logs.  For Stratux users that expand the SD card to its full size (which I think iFly should do on the systems they sell), the Stratux logs will probably never even need deleting.  Also, the Stratux logs are deleted with every update, so you can simply update the Stratux via an .sh file even if you're "updating" to the same version you already have (i.e. you can use the same .sh file over and over).  The important thing is to keep an eye on the disk space available (it's displayed on the Stratux webpage) and do an update/delete before the Stratux is strangled for disk space and refuses to boot.
