Any target timeframe for seamless charts? My 30 day trial recently expired and the lack of continuous charts makes me hesitate to buy a subscription.

I flew RKD 0B1 a few weeks ago, crossing the New York and Montreal sectional borders, which meant part of the display was blank. I know that tapping the blank would bring up the chart but I shouldn't have to do that.

With special use airspace information available from the main display, it reduces (eliminates?) the need to display chart border information.

I would like to go with iFly but flying TX-ME-NC routes crosses a lot of charts and having blank areas on my display, when near border areas, is a waste.

Thanks,

Cal

Good that it is a non issue for you. Living near where three sectionals come together and spending summers where three more come together, it becomes a flaw. Plus all the sectional seams between Texas and Maine, why choose non seamless software?

Add lack of auto rotation between landscape and portrait, both of which are available in other Andriod systems. I like the iFly company and people I have worked with, and want to support the home town team, but my July 1500nm trip proved the benefit (to me) of both of these features.

I know they are probably working on it and was wondering if it might be available for the fall return flight.

From private and forum comments by Shane, it is my understanding that seamless charts are a very high priority and a very near-in prospect for release. As the OP illustrates, this is an important feature required to convert some trial users into paying customers. AdventurePilot, of course, wisely avoids giving specific schedules for features and upgrades, so you should certainly take my opinion as highly unofficial.

I was actually expecting to see a major release for Oshkosh, but that has not happened. Probably that is again wise, as people will remember a release with problems a lot longer than they will remember a release that is a few days or weeks later than some undisclosed plan. My guess, again highly unofficial, is that there will be a demo of seamless charts under their table at Oshkosh. Maybe if you are there you can try to get a look.
