I guess that might would work....unless there was a mountain between your point of descent and your final waypoint. :)

I know that portable GPS devices are not allowed as the only device for instrument approaches but it would be good to augment an VOR or ILS approach using the iFly. If/when the approach plates can be geo-reffed, then it would make sense to me that the iFly could guide us down the various step-down altitudes. It could display the approach altitude and automatically change the target altitude after you pass fixes. Instead of a number, it could show an analog display of the target and actual similar to an HSI (maybe a slider type bar on the left or right side of the display?).
