My Ifly700 reboots when you tap the power cord at the display connection. I sent it back for repairs and just got it back. It has exactly the same behavior now as it did when I sent it to them. In flight it will reboot if I touch the power cord the "right" way. I assume that they thought it was fixed before returning it to me. So my question: is this just the way these devices work? Do they reboot all the time in flight if the power cord is moved?

No, it isn't the cord. It works that way if I use the battery or the direct connection to the cigarette lighter. Two different cords, same behavior.

I have the same problem. I think that the problem is caused by the wrong sized business end to the power cord. I put a piece of scotch tape over the power plug end and case and the problem goes away.

My 700 exhibited this behavior using the 12v. cigarette-type cord, and progressed to where it simply would not come on at all with that power source. The a/c power cord was no problem. I replaced the 12 v. cord, and the problem went away. Your milage may vary, but I'd try that. Good luck!

Sherry, I'm sorry you are having this issue; it certainly should not be this way. I've moved this thread to our Owners forum so one of our support guys can address this. Someone should be contacting you shortly.

Thanks,
Walter
