I have GDL 39 under panel connected to Garmin 696.  Last conversation with Walter at Sun n Fun two years ago working on GDL 39 connectivity to my I fly 720.  You guys say Garmin will not allow. Garmin (numerous reps ) say you guys are the problem.  So.... What is status ?

We have tried numerous times to get both a spec and approval from Garmin to integrate with their products.  Still no joy.

So I presume still no joy with Garmin?

I have a GTN650 and GTX-345. Bluetooth only but I had hoped there might be a USB Bluetooth device that would allow me to connect.

With all that power in the cockpit and Garmin Pilot available on my tablet, I still prefer the iFly740. I can see it any light and it never over temps. But I ditched my homemade Stratux (actually re-purposed the Rasberry Pi) and now I miss my traffic and WX.

Any options?

Spend another ~$150 and build another Stratux?

Garmin has a long and storied history of not working with other companies to enable cross-product compatiblity.  I would not expect that to change anytime soon.
