v9.3 says it is easier to dismiss the Quick View and that the VP now shows a "you are here" indicator.

I don't see anything different about the QV box (still the X to close) and I don't see a different "you are here" indicator in the VP. (Still the green triangle it's always been.)

What am I missing?

Click anywhere on the screen and Quick View closes.

Ahh... thanks! That's how it should be. That might open the door to use the X close box in QV for another function, if ever needed in the future.

The "You are Here" indicator has been added to the Flight Planning Vertical Profile. (Flight Plan -> More Options -> Set Altitude). As this is a profile of your plan, we only show the "you are here" icon if youare reasonably on course.

Found it. I was confusing the VP Flight Plan thingie with the VP on the map page.

Even so, it would have been a long time before I found the "Set Altitude" Option.

I hate to suggest a "Nanny" feature. (Even tho iFly already offers Alerts.) But since it appears you're already plotting altitudes and terrain, would there be any benefit to having iFly pop up a box after you fill in your flight plan that says "You're initial altitude will not clear terrain for your intended flight"? And then offer to take you to the VP Flight Plan thingie to see the problem.

(And then we could click on the collision point, which would take us to that point on the map page, where we could rubber band away from the terrain? (Nothing is impossible for the man who doesn't have to do it himself. <grinning>))
