today on the first flight after the latest upgrade I over flew a one airport flight plan. I was working with leaning issues and then decided to go back to my home airport. I used menue, airport w/weather to select my home airport. for some reason I scrolled the info screen, then pushed the direct-to button. None of the buttons would work. The info screen would still scroll, but I couldn't exit the screen and it wouldn't let me change the flight plan. I shut the 720 off back on and it worked normally. I selected my home airport and I came on home. Any thoughts?

The screen freeze happened to me when I turne on the bluetooth keyboard. Once I restarted the program sans the keyboard, everything seems to be working well.

My iFly 720 will not lock on to the GPS signal after the recent (4 days ago) upgrade to the new software. I've tried cold, hot starts and factory resets, along with an hour each looking at over 180 degrees of sky. Originally the time was wrong, but eventually it corrected and still the GPS wouldn't lock on. This is in the same location that I've used it (inside my house, by a sliding glass door) where it has always worked before over the last 2+ years. After the latest reset, the time is incorrect (again).

This happened one previous time (after a software upgrade) and it eventually started working again... I can't tell you why. It didn't seem to corelate to anything I'd done (cold, hot starts and factory resets).

Makes one not wish to upgrade the software... if this is a recurring feature of the upgrade fuction, perhaps we could have some procedures developed to troubleshoot and recover the GPS lock, without having to crowd-source what is going on, each time we want our equipment to work?

It's a great app and I appreciate it's flexibility, but I'm looking for a little more reliability. If I understood more of what was this issue- which apparently many are working through each upgrade- maybe I could put it into a better perspective.

Doug, the GPS Chipset/firmware is completely independent of the navigation software. Version 8 didn't make any changes at this layer; I believe the timing is just a coincidence. If the issue persists, please contact our support team for some debugging steps.
