Well, your waaay ahead of me ... again! HA! Does this work for any point you may select or just airports? If it worked for all points, then seems the dynamic ring would be redundant.

By the way, in portrait view, if I select an airport near the top of the screen, the Context Box is frequently partially obscured (which is why I guess I didn't know what was in the Box!) as is the Options button. Could these features be programmed to pop-up below the area touched rather than above so they are completely visible and not interfering with instrument data windows, etc?

It does work for any point you touch. It is a little redundant it you want to touch, but keep in mind it's only an option so it's not mandatory. Also, some might want to pan from one point to the next and see the difference. Or if you want to pan out to a "Re-Fuel" range, say 300 miles, then you can just pan out to that distance and see airports near that area, rather than having to tap the screen constantly to get the distance. Hopefully, this might allow you to see a particular use scenario. Thanks for the feedback.

Also, I know we have the location and how it pops up the context box on the development list in order to keep it from popping off screen.

The Dynamic Distance Ring also provides a simple way to keep abreast of your location relative to an area you've panned too. If you are doing a lot of panning it's easy to get "lost", the distance ring's arc intuitively points out your general direction and distance.

So, we've got a choice of distance methods ... neat! Sounds like the dynamic ring is the way to go when you're having to pan, anyway! I'm beginning to get the picture! HA!

Glad you're working on re-locating the Content Box (and hopefully the Options button, too?) to keep them on-screen..

Thanks,

John
