I agree - that "fingernail trick" needs to be emphasized! I tried it today (with the screen protector) and it worked GREAT!

I always have a pen or mechanical pencil handy when I'm flying, and typically use the rounded plastic point of the (retracted!) pen barrel or pen cap, or the "button" end of the pencil as a stylus with good results. (Use common sense, of course...the pointy metal end of a mechanical pencil and some pens would probably not be good for the iFly screen...)

I recently installed the anti-glare screen protector offered by iFly. I did this while still in the hangar and I am glad I did. Installation was no problem. But when I turned on the unit, I couldn't get past the initial page that has the Navigation and Update etc buttons on it. No amount of touches and presses would register a response from the unit. I rebooted several times with the same result.

Finally in desperation I removed the screen protector, and the iFly returned to normal, and I proceeded to go flying, but without the screen protector.

One nagging question remains though. I have noticed recently that my lower left corner, while in vertical mode with the power cord on the bottom edge, seems about an inch out of calibration. I have recalibrated several times with the same result. I wonder if something is going awry with the touch function of the entire display.
