OK.. I get that getting a baro-corrected altitude into the iFly is not a trivial solution. Hence showing relative altitudes for nearby traffic might be confusing (or impart a false sense of panic or security).

On the other hand, it seems like it would be VERY useful to show altitude and trend information (climbing/descending) for targets. Is it possible to turn that on? If not, could it please be added to the wish list for an upcoming revision please?

Regards,
Neal

Neal,

Additional Traffic information including but not limited to is on our wishlist. We would like to show more traffic information in a future update and as the ADS-B traffic network becomes more consistent. At this time, the FAA's TIS system is still very thin and limited for receiver only situations. Thanks for the great feedback.

I wonder what you mean by "the ADS-B traffic becomes more consistent"? Coverage for ADS-R is still missing for a lot of the less populated central portions of the US, but I understand we will have complete coverage of the entire US for enroute on or before 9/30/13.

I agree that things are limited for receiver only situations, but there are a good number of us who have tranceivers.

More consistent in coverage, sorry for any confusion.

Also there are lots of reports of stations being down, tested, etc. Transceiver users should have a much better picture, especially in Class B or Transponder Veil. The network will only get better as more Transceivers get in the air too. This creates an In-Air Web of coverage.

Keep in mind, we are 6+ years out from the 2020 FAA mandate, so there will likely be many changes to the system before then as well as many new models of receivers and transceivers brought to market.
