For some reason I am unable to download the most recent updates. It connects, attempts to download the first file, usually says 100% but the gives a red "file download failed, retrying". It will do this endlessly.

I've tried canceling, reconnecting several times throughout the day but it still is having this problem.....

Any ideas? Thx.

Dave

Here's another problem but it might be just my computer:
When I want to eject the SD card from my computer after and "iFly Connect" update, it often says it can't be ejected because other applications are using the device.

Any fixes or operational procedures that I should follow?

Tried again today....same problem. I deleted all of my connection, re-connected to my wifi network and now it "seems" to be working...hopefully it will continue the rest of the downloads without failures.

UPDATE: Problem solved. Downloads complete.

I get the same error once-in-a-while also. At first I thought I clicked on the wrong 'link'. I'll go back and 'eject' again and it works.

Your computer may be configured to automatically launch an application when it detects removable media being attached. Some examples of typical applications would be music managers (to sync songs between the PC and the external drive), photo editing / publishing / archiving tools (like Picasa, or the software bundled with your digital camera), etc.

Or, your computer might be configured to just open up a window to show the contents of the removable drive. Sometimes, that alone could cause the message you see.

Next time you pop the card into your computer, look for things like these that might be opening automatically, and close them out before you try to eject the card. Maybe you'll figure out what's causing the message.

But if you don't figure it out, it's probably still not a problem. You won't harm the card by ejecting it with a warning like that on the screen. The worst that could happen is that the PC hasn't finished writing all the data to the card, but even that is unlikely.
