On my long cross country trip (65 hours in the last two weeks) I did find two things that seemed like bugs.

1. Leaving the airport area

At least 5 or 10 times while I was in cruise flight, sometimes no where near an airport and at least a couple thousand feet agl, I would get an alert that I was leaving the airport area. Something didn't seem right about that. Couldn't figure out precisely what conditions triggered the notice.

2. Dim route and airplane

A few times, in the middle of a flight, the route and airplane display would go dim, so dim as to be unreadable. The display of the background map remained normal. Nothing I did got the purple line or the position marker to return to normal. Eventually, I just had to shut down the application and relaunch it, which solved the problem. Couldn't figure out precisely what conditions triggered this one either.

Best,

Paul

Paul,

Try an download the latest 7.0.19 software. There was a performance bug that was found and corrected just after Oshkosh. Both of these scenarios would have been possible. As for the flight line and airplane icon, that is a little different. The route line could dim if it was not the active leg, but the Airplane icon would only dim during dragging or panning. Again these could have manifested them selves in a delayed responses. I'd recommend updating to the 7.0.19. I believe this will resolve your problem.
