Walter: I am glad you were able to reproduce the bug. I can live with it while the update becomes available whenever is convenient. How will I know to change the OS? Will you send a general message? Thanks for your help.

Honestly, I don't know how long this will be. OS updates are very expensive for us: We procure the new OS from our hardware manufacturer, do a bunch of QC, then ship out new SD cards to affected users. We only do satisfy a critical need, for example we had an OS update to add NMEA and ADS/B support for some of our older units. I cannot justify creating an OS just to fix this problem, but it will be fixed if we create one for another reason, such as if we need to add support for a new feature or device.

Hope this answer is acceptable, sorry I don't have a quick fix for this.

Walter

This is a problem affecting my unit also. I fly at night a lot, and though the night settings are effective, I find the dimmest setting still a bit too bright. I was nice when I could power down the screen during different stages of the flight, yet have the ifly “follow along”.
