For those who don't have Windows 7 or your W7 is a desktop and you don't want to lug it to the garage bacause you can only plug in the SkyRadar in the car, drivers are available for download at the following link:
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm
So now I am in the following situation:
- SkyRadar succesfully connects and communicates to the PC. Driver is installed.
- iFly indicates that the USB device is not recognized
- iFly serial number starts with MB07
- Tried multiple USB cables. Using USB2.0 cable with a 5 pin Mini-B USB connector.

Looking forward to a continued investigation. Does anybody from SkyRadar group purchase that got their units connected and working out of the box?

Received my SkyRadar unit and had no luck in hooking it up. This is what happened.

1. Upon power up of the iFly, a USB error window pops up stating" Unidentified USB device" and looking for a driver name. Once the ifly boots up, the error message goes away. The driver posted on the previous thread I guess gets loaded thru a PC into the ADS-B box?

2. My unit is over a year old with serial # MB9C0xxx. Called Adventure Pilot hopefully will get the firmware upgrade ASAP.

3. The USB cable I purchased is a Beldin standard USB - A to 5 pin USB mini-B. Spoke to Radenna and they recommended using just a standard USB cable. Make sure its 5 pin not the 4 on the mini side.

I anyone has success, please post.

Marco

4. iFly did not recognize any devices in the menu for "connected devices".

SkyRadar said they will be putting a Cable on there store shortly.

What do you want for the price of two iFlys? Sheesh. Radenna could have included a $2 USB cable to eliminate one variable.
