You should be able to run RP on a desktop, then share the plan with your 740.
That would require removing the units(2) prior to use... not a very acceptable solution
While not optimum, I now plan on iFly on the PC, share the plan with iFly on my phone, then via the Stratux WiFi in the plane, share the plan from the phone to the 740. Works fine ...
I am trying to get my mind around why one needs to transfer flight plans from a PC to the IFly or any other platform when most of the time we go direct. It not like we are flying jets from New York to Timbucktou. This is only an $800 platform. You could spend $40K and get some fancy Garmin stuff and transfer your flights plans all you want. There is much more useful things IFly can program that everyone will use. I just flew my 340 from Seattle to Louisville and my flight plan was KBFI to KGRN and KGRN to KLOU. It took all of 15 seconds to put that in and I traveled 1590 NM.
