Flight Plan Page

I have noticed that for my new 740b unit that when I am flying and activate a Direct To destination and then open up 3D EFIS the Flight Plan page opens up and I have to close it. This happens in sequence about four or five times until it finally goes away. A bit distracting. Can this be suppressed?
