On my iphone and iPad the update everything package doesn't seem to download. Maybe I'm not patient enough. The progress bar doesn't move. I created an update package on my computer and saved it to the Lexar stick. My computer is on the same internet connection as the ipad and iphone. I updated the iFy 740 in the airplane with the USB method. That took as long as doing it over wifi. The progress bar sat at nothing for so long I thought it died. I left it powered up and went about changing the oil in my truck and looked in on it periodically and saw the bar had finally moved. It had to have take close to two hours to update or more since I wasn't keeping that close an eye on it. I thought the USB method would be faster than wifi since it didn't have to transfer over the Internet.

Much of the "Update" time is spent in file I/O - unzipping, then reading the entire file to perform a checksum test, only then is it moved to the correct folder overwriting it's predecessor. This isn't always fast on an SD card.  So both USB and Internet updates will seem to take longer than you might expect.  That being said...you should still see the progress bar progressing.  There might be an issue with the file or the SD card.
