I've had my iFly about 6 months and am generally happy with the product. Recently I've had the suction cup windshield attachment come loose during flight twice and watch the unit fall into my lap. I'm wondering if anyone is using some sort of liquid or cream to help form a more permanent bond and prevent this problem.

Thanks.

Mark

Interested to see the suggestions from the group on this. I've tried it dry, wet, soapy wet. I've never had mine fall off during flight, but I'll often find it on the floor of the plane after leaving it parked in the hangar.

Ditto here; suction mount works far better than I expected, but still looking for a better and lower mount - I hate losing the visibility out the right side.

Spoke with AirGizmo at OSH and they took a number, but says they are still waiting for the portrait option on the iFly. Told them I want to retain the landscape mode, which (I think) they said they will accommodate if and when they design a unit for the iFly.

Before this thread fades into oblivion, I'm going to take another shot at it.

I'm guessing others are experiencing the same problem as me since it now is reoccuring on a daily basis, either while flying or parked in my hangar. If you have found a solution please let us all know. Walter? Any comment here?

Hi Mark - I use dielectric grease on my car's GPS suction cup. It will hold until the sun hits it on a very hot day. Use a very small amount.
