I have had my mine for a year now but never really used this feature in real condictions and I find when I try to move the course line I move the map instead. I find I can't do it when my finger is "grabby". Actually I found it useless while flying. Now, at home I can move it with a pen most of the time but still, many times, the map will move or something else funky happens. What's the secret? If this can't be improved it is quite useless.

Thanks,
Lee

Lee -

When you get the chance, try moving the line with your fingernail instead of your fingertip - I find that I get more precise control that way.

Lee & all,

Yes, it takes a bit of practice to get good at the rubber-band feature. A fingernail works great - and will not hurt the screen. But if it's a bumpy flight even an expert will have a tough time doing this. In flight, this is how I do it: Touch the point you want to fly to, touch the "Options" button, touch "Add Waypoint Here", if you are redirecting to an airpor or navaid select that from the list, if this is just an random waypoint select the lat/lon option. (BTW, you can use the remote to do this as well!

Thanks!
Walter
