Does the 740 have serial or ARINC 429 (?) output, in order to drive autopilots and other panel stuff?

Does it have any of the other capabilities of the Garmin 430? Would be great if it did most of the stuff the 430 does.

Or is it nearly identical to iFly on the Android? (with no connection to oher panel hardware.)

Also, one of your guys' posts mentioned using a 740 and a 700 on the same panel (I forgot what for.) We could have nav and situational awareness on one screen and engine monitoring on the other?

Thanks.

iFly does not do engine monitoring.

You'll probably get quicker, more complete responses to your other questions if you call AP during business hours and talk to one of the reps:

Phone: 1-214-585-0444 (or 1-888-200-5129)

Business hours: 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri Central Time

Yes, the 740 support NMEA Serial Out. You just need to get this cable.

As Cobra noted, we do not support engire monitoring.

Some folks with 2 iFlys so their passengers can track their flight, or they might have one showing with the instrument panel, or they might have one for plates viewing, the other for maps, or one is a backup and they use it to play movies or music for their passengers. Lots of neat things you can do with 2 iFlys. And if they are both wifi enabled to the same ADSB receiver, you can automatically share flight plans between the units. I suggest everybody have at least 2. ;-).

Thanks,

Walter
