. At one time you could add an altimeter gauge to your layout but now I can not find one. I may be old school but I find it much easier to hold altitude with a gauge than digital readout. I have a Dynon 100 in the panel and no altimeter gauge.

Ollie,

If you are not seeing the Alt (MSL) or Alt (AGL) on the instrument list, then they are already added. There was an Altimeter Setting, which is Baro instrument added in the Beta, but those were a bit premature as we are still working on them.

To see your Altitude in a digital format, the instrument you are looking for is the Alt (MSL). Keep in mind this is your GPS Altitude and your aircraft altimeter is pressure altitude. They will be slightly off, but offer a good reference. We are working on a Baro/Pressure Altitude solution for a future release. Stay tuned.

No, I am talking about the round altimeter that I had for awhile and then lost with an update. It worked really well and I am a Beta tester.

Thanks, Ollie

Ollie,

The instrument you're looking for now lives on the "Instruments" screen. Tap "Map Mode" button, then select "Instruments". I'm not sure it's available as an overlay on a moving map, but you could make that request.

Yes, I know it's there, but at one time I had it as an overlay and then lost it with an update.
