Has anyone been successful in updating their iFly 700 other than the USB "sneaker net" routine? Specifically, I would love to know if someone figured out how to use an iPod Touch to download and update the iFly. When I connect my iPod, the iFly displays the following message:

"Unidentified USB Device: Enter the name of the driver for this USB device:"

Thanks,

Andre'

Excellent question. I was just wondering that myself. It would be great if I could just connect the ifly to a computer and download the updates to it directly.

Some folks have successfully updated the iFly with smart phones that are able to expose themself as a typical USB Thumb drive. But the iPhone / iPad does not do this, they requires special drivers loaded on the target computer to communicate with those devices.

Thanks,
Walter

I have been able to update directly from my Droid X. It appears as a USB drive without any additional drivers, etc.

Hi Walter -

Does this mean a driver must be added to the iFly before it can recognize and communicate with an iPod?

Thanks,

Andre'
