Two biggest causes of this problem I have seen are the GPS antenna and location of the transmit antenna in relation to the others.
First check to make sure your GPS, the little black puck, is working. Without it you will see no traffic and not participate in the in/out system. Look at the side of the black puck. There should be a red indicator light if it is working. The connection sometimes comes lose or you may not have a good clear view of the sky.
Second keep your transmitter, the blue blade, at least 4-6 feet or more from the other antennas and the GPS. I have mine mounted on the other side of the plane from the other three which is about 6-7 feet away.
