The Setup send you Tail Number and your Transponder Code (ICAO), this tells them who you are and if you are flying in Class be, they could get on to you for transmitting a wrong code. If it is left in the N12345 and FFFFFF, that is basically a bogus or anonymous config.
As the the Setup dropping or not getting the Squawk, please make sure you have 7.6.19 or higher in the beta. 7.6.21 adds the ADS-B GPS position option in the GPS Info page. We hear very solid and positive feedback with the new 7.6.21 and the SkyGuardTWX Control Panel. Additionally, if you are using the SkyGuardTWX App on the iPad, it will override and cause problems with the iFly 720 being able to use the Setup and Control Panel. You really need to try an just use the iFly 720 to control the SkyGuardTWX, unless you are not connecting the iFly to the Vision-Pro. Having two deice try and run the Vision-Pro is just unstable as the SkyGuardTWX App claims priority and throws off other device. We are trying to tighten this logic up before Prime Time. How far away was the ghost on final, 1/4 mile, etc. There is a lag between ADS-B and GPS, so we are tweaking this to minimize the ghosting.
If you were performing a close final and steep decent when transitioning from base to final, it could pop the ghost, as we are using a direct, speed and distance to filter out the ghost. Abrupt patterns or maneuvers will throw this logic off.
