My flight plan includes ........ TYI, RBX, KFFA. I have tried selecting RBX by pushing/pointing at that position in my flight plan. In spite of my best efforts, the only suggestions my 720 offers is information on MQI (which is the airport on which the VOR is located). If I zoom into Zoom level four and use a stylus then I can get the 720 to offer the choice of RBX or KMQI.....it would seem logical that the 720 would know that RBX is on the flight plan and is likely of more interest than KMQI and therefore might be offered in all instances that that area is selected, not just having to zoom way in in order to see the small black ring of the flight plan. Maybe my airplane isn't as smooth as some. ;-)

George: Have you tried selecting the VOR using the Flight Plan page? You can select VORs and de-select airports in the search parameters. Once you have the VOR in the flight plan you can call up information about it using the link to it in the flight plan. Hope ths helps. ==== Ralph

I suppose I could do that, but like many other posts, I don't want to spend too much time with my eyes in the cockpit. After all, if the VOR is a part of my flight plan, why wouldn't it show in a box with its identifier and frequency. Some other software products and GPS's do that. I am just learning the iFly, so I admit to not knowing the best ways to access some items.

Ralph,

I tried your method, searching the flight plan, and the only information I see is the name of the waypoint. I don't see a way of getting information, such as identifier or frequency from that page. Help would be appreciated.

George: I noticed a couple of years ago when I first bought an iFly that VOR/ADF freq and ID information is not available in the menu look-ups. I concluded at that time that the folks at AP must have decided that all that VOR and ADF info is printed prominently on the map charts already . . .and since this is a moving map GPS . . . the user has it right there on the map/chart. But this is just conjecture on my part. .The way it is, It streamilnes the coding overhead. ==== Ralph .
