About 4 mths ago I bought the ADSB from skyradar for about $799

Now I see that Stratus has an ADSB along with AHRS syatem for only $100 more. There system only works with Foreflight though. The advantage of the AHRS of course is the atitude indicator that can also provide good synthetic vision info as that with wingxpro

I use my I pad as a backup backup with wingxpro which is still not c/w the stratus.

Are there any other makers that will allow compatability with our 720 and wingxpro that have ADSB and AHRS all in one unit?

Keep up the good work!

Dinshaw,

There are actually several AD-AHRS units that are compatible with the iFly 720. Actually, when we can get our hands on one of the new Stratus, we will likely confirm compatibility, as we are compatible with the old Stratus. Other manufacturers like the iLevil and Clarity Dual SV would be some great options, as they will be compatible with the iFly 720 and other apps like WingX and FlyQ. Appareo, seems to be focused on exclusive hardware to Sporty's and ForeFlight.

I will say the iLevil and Clarity offer great products. The iLevil has about the best AHRS we've seen and the Clarity Dual SV offers dual band traffic, bothe 978 and 1090. You can't go wrong with either of these and you'll likely have more device/app options down the road. I hope this if of help.

Let me chime in to say that as I read the specs on the new Stratus with traffic and AHRS, it requires an iPad (with Foreflight?) to turn on/off options on the Stratus. It appears there is no way to configure the Stratus directly without an iPad. Caveat emptor. ==== Ralph.
