I have found that I cannot read the approach plates on my tablet without zooming in on a section of the plate. I have tried this on several tablets with the same result. Other flying apps I have tested do not have this problem. With these other apps approach plates are sharp and readable when the full plate is viewed on the screen. I have a 740 mounted in my cockpit for situational awareness, flight planning, weather and traffic and also a Garmin IFR certified approach GPS for navigation. I want to use a tablet on my yoke to display approach plates and would like to do it with the iFly app as it is compatible with my 740 with respect to the user interface and sharing flight plans. Does anyone else have this issue and have you been able to solve it. I really don't want to use another app just to have readable georeferenced plates in the cockpit.

we have high res and low res data that gets downloaded based upon how big of an sd card you are using in the 740b - is your device using a 16gb or 8 gb card?

I don't know if this applies to your situation. I thought iFlyGPS was blurry on my android tablet and phone. I searched on this forum learned about a setting for tablet mode vs phone mode. Now it is much sharper and comparable to other EFBs I've used.
