erroneous terrain and too low warnings

Sorry to be such a complainer, but I'm sure you want to know any issues.

While using my NOTE 9 Android phone with IFLY I kept getting "TOO LOW, TERRAIN and 500" warnings even though I was flying over the flat high dessert of Southern California at 1500 AGL as reported by IFLY AGL reading.

As always we love your feedback and want to hear about ALL of your (iFlyGPS-related) problems. :)

Are you using an ADSB device? If so, can you turn on ADSB Logging, and next time it happens, send me the ADSB log? IIRC, in the past, we've had some ADSB units occassionally send us bad data points, which in turn trigger alerts, which then go away. I'm not sure if the symptoms you are seeing fit this description (i.e. .they appear but then go away very quickly)

Also, the "TOO LOW" callout should be reserved for Landings, and so for that to be triggered, I believe iFly should think that it's on approach to an airport. Were you near and heading towards any airports when this happened?

How many times did it occur? Was it like once in the flight, but it happens for many/most flights? Or does "keep happening" mean that it happens multiple times per flight?

The low pull up and 500 warnings were along the way from KAJO to Lake El Mirage just south of Edwards AFB here in SoCal.

The AGL indicatoon on my Android phone using IFLY seemed to be wrong most of the time on the trip. I know AGL is coming from a satellite so it may be a one off issue.

The nearest airport the 1st time was Ontario International. It was 10 miles away to the northwest.

The other time was flying north through the Cajon Pass at least 20 miles from an airport.

Then when flying over the flat high desert just to the west of Victorville (10 miles) and at least 1500 AGL according to IFLY I got a couple 500 warnings.

I flew again this Saturday and didn't have the issue. I did get a terrain warning, but there was terrain to warn about.

I'll send a ADSB log next time it happens.

Not sure if it's related or just a coincidence, but I fired up iFly in the house yesterday to get the menu navigation to adjust traffic notifications while replying to someone in a different thread, and in the few minutes it took to do that and type up a reply, iFly squawked "Terrain, terrain--500" or somesuch. (beta v11.1.1)

In all the years I've been using iFly, that's the first time I can recall ever hearing iFly squawk at me about altitude while using it in the house.

Can you send me the log for that occurrence? AFAIK, iFly would have had to first think you were in Flight Mode for it to issue such an alert. We'd like to prevent that nuance from happening again.
